S55 Liqui Moly 5W-40 Oil Change Kit (Molygen)

Engine oil in any vehicle is a critical lifeline. This is especially true in the case of the BMW S55 engine. Regular servicing not only maintains current levels of performance but also helps reduce wear.

BMW stipulates that the oil should be changed every 15,000 miles. We and other enthusiasts do not agree with this philosophy. Instead, we recommend oil changes every 5,000 miles to prevent sludge buildup and to ensure that the engine has fresh oil.

This oil change kit also applies to F87 M2's with the N55 engine as the same oil pan and oil filter housing are used requiring use of the S55 oil filter kit.

**Please note:**

This oil change kit has been designed for F80 M3's and F82/F83 M4's built after 9/2014. There is a design difference in the oil pans which necessitates different oil change kits. This kit has been designed for later production F80 M3's and F82/F83 M4's. With an aluminum oil pan the drain plug must be torqued to 25Nm. The oil filter cap is torqued to 25Nm.
